Erstellen/Entfernen von ANSI-Prototypen aus C-Code

»protoize« kann benutzt werden, um Prototypen zu einem Programm hinzuzufügen, so dass das Programm in diesem Aspekt nach ANSI C konvertiert wird. Das ebenfalls enthaltene Programm »unprotoize« tut genau das Gegenteil: es entfernt Argumenttypen von jeden Prototypen, die gefunden werden.
