Package: xlib6-altdev (3.3.2.3-2 and others)

include files and libraries for libc5 X client development

This package provides the standard set of include files for X, and some non-shared libraries required for X client development. You only need to install it if you intend to compile X clients against libc5 yourself.

This package only provides statically linked libraries if there is no dynamically-linked version available. For statically linked versions of the libraries in the xlib6 package, see the xslib package.
