Package: xserver-fbdev (3.3.6-11potato32)

X server for framebuffer-based graphics drivers

xserver-fbdev is an X server that uses the kernel-based framebuffer device driver for display.

To use this server, you must have a kernel that supports the framebuffer console device. For the Alpha and i386 architectures, this capability is absent from the 2.0 (and earlier) kernel series. Users of these architectures must use version 2.2 or later of the Linux kernel with support for an appropriate framebuffer console driver to employ this X server.
