mips64emul aims at emulating complete machines with enough hardware emulated to run real unmodified operating systems. The emulation of the DECstation 5000/200 and the ARC based Acer Pica-61 is good enough for an operating system to be installed.
It can also emulate SGI MIPS, ARC, Cobalt, Sony Playstation 2, and hpcmips systems, to a varying degree of success. See the documentation for the exact details and information on installing guest operating systems.
